RESOURCE: The Choice Connect App from the SHORE Centre

Our friends over at the SHORE Centre in Kitchener, Ontario have a fantastic abortion referral web-based app called Choice Connect. You can check it out at choiceconnect.ca!

Much like our Self-Assessment Quizzes [Link], Choice Connect is designed to help guide people through the often tricky process of getting more info and resources on sexual health. Users answer a few simple (and anonymous) questions, and Choice Connect identifies abortion service providers in your area who meet your needs.

Right now the app is designed for people living in Southwestern Ontario (mainly Cambridge, Kitchener, Guelph, and Waterloo), but they do provide info and referrals to places in the Greater Toronto Area. SHORE is also currently running a crowd-funding campaign to expand the app for service providers all across Canada! For more info on the app or to donate, check out SHORE’s website [Link].

If you live in the GTA and are looking for abortion services, check out our Abortion Providers in the GTA page [Link]. You don’t need to get a referral from your doctor to seek out abortion services. You just have to phone the clinic directly to make an appointment for yourself.

If you have questions about this topic, feel free to contact one of our peer educators. [Link]
