Teen Health Source Chat Bot
For times that we’re closed, you can always ask the Teen Health Source Chat Bot! This is an Artificial Intelligence Chat Bot that is designed to help with some of our most frequently asked questions and connect you with resources on TeenHealthSource.com. To use the Bot, just click on the icon to the right to start a conversation. If the Bot is not able to answer your question, please feel free to text or email us, and we’ll respond as soon as we’re available.
The Chat Bot is a project of Planned Parenthood Toronto, funded by the Rotary Club of Toronto Charitable Foundation and Merck Better Care
*Please note that our peer education services are currently only available in English.
Our services are anonymous and confidential.
Anonymous means that we don’t know who you are. We:
- do not trace calls
- do not have call display, so we can’t see your number
- do not see your phone number when you text us
- Note: we can see your email address
Confidential means that we will not provide any information that you share with us to anyone outside of our organization. What you say to us stays with us. However, there are a few exceptions in which we must breach confidentiality if we have identifying information. These situations include:
- If you are aged 15 and under and tell us that someone has harmed you in the past, is harming you in some way now, or will probably harm you in the near future. Harm includes sexual, physical, and emotional abuse or neglect.
- If you know someone aged 15 and under and you tell us that someone has harmed them in the past, is harming them in some way now, or will probably harm them in the near future.
- If you are any age and tell us that you plan to hurt yourself or someone else.
- If you are any age and tell us that someone in the past harmed you when you were 15 or younger and that person (e.g. teacher, grandparent, coach, doctor, etc.) still has access to young people they could harm.
Note: Confidentiality can only be broken during the above situations if you give us identifying information like your name, address, school, phone number, or in some instances your email address. Such situations may mean we need to contact authorities like the police or Children’s Aid Society.

Teen Health Source
Teen Health Source is brought to you by Planned Parenthood Toronto. Teen Health Source is a sexual health information service run for and by youth. Whether teens need information about birth control, sexually transmitted infections, healthy relationships, or puberty, we provide information in a non-judgmental, sex-positive, pro-choice, and inclusive manner. Got a question or need a referral that you can’t find on our website? Ask us! We have trained teen volunteers waiting to serve you five days a week!
To help youth become informed so they can make choices that work for them, Teen Health Source offers live peer education services in addition to our comprehensive sexual health website. We are now over 20 years old! We offer teens the chance to speak one-on-one with a trained teen volunteer by phone, text, email, or online chat. Our volunteers have completed an extensive training course in sexual health and how to share this information with other teens. They can help find answers to questions and provide referrals to other services like clinics and community resources.
