Intro to Relationships
When we talk about relationships in this lesson, we’re specifically referring to romantic or sexual relationships. For folks who haven’t ever had one, this might feel like an intimidating thing to start thinking about but good news! If you’ve got friends, family members, coworkers, or any other people in your life you have some kind of connection with you already have experience being in a relationship. If you’ve felt pressure to be liked, felt like you had expectations to live up to, maybe got a little jealous when someone started hanging out with you less, you’ve already experienced some of the struggles a person could have in a romantic relationship. The novelty of romantic and sexual attraction can complicate things a little, but in many ways the same rules about respect, communication, trust, and equity all apply.
