Hormonal Methods:

Hormonal birth control methods use hormones to stop ovulation, thicken cervical mucus, and thin the uterine lining. Together, these 3 factors decrease a person’s chance of getting pregnant.

Non-Hormonal Methods

Non-hormonal birth control methods use a number of different methods to decrease a person’s chance of getting pregnant. This includes barriers, spermicides, tracking ovulation, and other medical procedures.
